1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using TeachZilla ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including educators, administrators, and visitors.

2. Description of Service

TeachZilla is an AI-powered teaching assistant platform designed to help K-12 educators create lesson plans, worksheets, tests, rubrics, and other teaching materials. The Service includes:

  • AI chat for generating and refining teaching materials
  • Knowledge base for storing and organizing classroom documents
  • Document generation and export tools
  • Classroom profile management
  • State standards alignment

3. Account Registration

To use TeachZilla, you must create an account with accurate information. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Keeping your account information up to date

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

Free Plan

The Free plan provides limited access to TeachZilla features at no cost, including 50 AI messages per month, basic templates, and one active classroom.

Pro Plan

The Pro plan is available at $12/month or $99/year and includes expanded AI message limits, advanced features, and up to three active classrooms.

Billing

  • Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense your access to the Service
  • Use the Service to generate content that is discriminatory, harmful, or inappropriate for educational settings
  • Exceed reasonable usage limits or abuse the AI features
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of all materials you upload to TeachZilla, including documents, lesson plans, and classroom data. By uploading content, you grant TeachZilla a limited license to process and store your materials solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

AI-Generated Content

Content generated by TeachZilla's AI tools is provided for your use in educational settings. You are granted a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, modify, and distribute AI-generated content for educational purposes. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content for accuracy before use.

TeachZilla Platform

The TeachZilla platform, including its design, code, AI models, and branding, is owned by TeachZilla, Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws.

7. AI Disclaimer

TeachZilla uses artificial intelligence to generate teaching materials. While we strive for accuracy and alignment with educational standards:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • All generated materials should be reviewed by a qualified educator before classroom use
  • TeachZilla does not guarantee that generated content meets specific district or school requirements
  • Standards alignment is provided as a helpful reference, not a guarantee of compliance

8. Data & Privacy

Your use of TeachZilla is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable advance notice
  • Experience occasional outages due to circumstances beyond our control
  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TeachZilla shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service will be revoked
  • Your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy
  • Any outstanding payment obligations remain in effect

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Florida.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
